17 juin Média

A brand-new platform dedicated to health in Africa

SQLI supports 17 Juin Média in the development and SEO of AllôDocteurs.Africa, the first health information and services website in French-speaking Africa.

Context

17 Juin Média, a TF1 group subsidiary, produces television shows. The company has launched a spin-off of “Magazine de la Santé” in Africa, “Bonjour Santé”. Following this show’s success, 17 Juin Média now wants to establish itself online and become a leader on the African health market, via the site AllôDocteurs.Africa.

SQLI is assisting 17 Juin Média with developing and doing SEO for this brand-new platform.

Project

SQLI took care of the design and development of the platform and its back office. The site is based on :

  • The CMS eZPlatform 2.5 ;
  • The PHP Symfony 3.4 framework;
  • Platform.sh hosting

The project continued, switching its focus to SEO to develop awareness of AllôDocteurs.Africa. SQLI worked on the web visitor acquisition mechanism, as well as with Google Search Console to measure traffic on the site. In addition to assessing the performance of content, the chosen KPIs lay the foundations to monetise the platform.

The site was produced by France and Morocco: one of the prerequisites for 17 Juin Média was to have a site produced in Africa.

Benefits

17 June Média benefits from a website adapted to the specificities of the African market, with a “mobile first” strategy to guarantee the accessibility and performance of the site.

The geolocalised version brings personalised information to mobile users.

“The site was developed in record time and we are delighted with the results. Plus, we very much appreciated working with SQLI’s teams, which are very attentive and engaged, and able to find solutions. Today, we have a unifying tool: every day, we receive numerous articles from all four corners of Africa via a single, same collaborative tool. “
