Citadium offers its customers a new digital experience

The brand has entrusted the SQLI team with the overhaul of the citadium.com

Citadium chose SQLI to develop its e-commerce website launched in March. With optimised browsing and maximised merchandising, Citadium is offering its clientele a new online shopping experience. The portal is modelled on its Parisian concept-store and stands out with a 'trendy' design, technology and features.

Street wear & Lifestyle e-shop

Streetwear, denim, skate or even lifestyle trends are among those represented by 250 brands at Citadium, a magnet for trendy teenagers. Citadium has had an e-commerce platform since 2012 and wanted to update it, enrich it with new features and develop a mobile version in order to match the new uses of its young customers - the digital natives.

"Our commercial website had to offer our customers an updated shopping experience which makes it possible to access a modern offer and customer journey in sync with the unique experience enjoyed in our stores," says Valérie Meichelbeck-Krauss, e-Commerce project manager at the Printemps Group.

The overhaul of the desktop and mobile versions of citadium.com is twofold:

  • A technological overhaul, including capitalising on the hybris platform put in place for the temporary websites for Printemps' 150th anniversary, sharing source codes and third-party application maintenance, and the integration of the new hybris merchandising platform.
  • But also an ergonomic and graphic overhaul with the integration of new features for optimised browsing and an ever trendier image.

With proven experience in e-commerce and having already successfully orchestrated the first version of the e-commerce website in 2012, and the temporary websites for the Printemps Group's 150th anniversary in 2015, SQLI was logically entrusted with developing this strategic project for Citadium. Indeed, SQLI has had a special relationship with the Printemps Group since 2011.

Create a unique shopping experience with the hybris multi-channel sales platform

Citadium wanted to take advantage of the evolution of searchandising solutions and benefit from one and the same technology at the heart of its multi-channel strategy. So the website has been fully developed by the SQLI teams based around the hybris solution. This makes it possible to manage, enrich and streamline the product data and optimise workflows. It ensures the homogeneity of content and the buying experience across all sales channels.

The new version of the website has new features aimed at optimising the presentation of the offer on the web and helping Internet users to refine their searches. Everything is done to go faster and facilitate the customer journey:

  • customisable and flexible menu
  • new search engine
  • integration of a payment page and new means of payment
  • multiple choice of delivery methods
  • improved product description
  • website & mobile geolocation

Valérie Meichelbeck-Krauss, e-Commerce project manager at the Printemps Group, says: "We had a very short lead time for the launch of the website in March. Thanks to good organisation and the commitment of its teams, SQLI was able to stick to the deadlines and budgets. After several years of collaboration, we found SQLI to be an extremely professional genuine partner which knew our needs perfectly and which was able to advise us and support us throughout our various projects. The launch of our new website went very well and we hope to see the results of this great project very soon."
